From the beginning, the founder of Fabelab, Michaela Weisskirchner-Barfod, has made an effort to keep an honest and sustainable approach to the design and production of the Fabelab collections.

Our products are made with love and based on sustainable beliefs, and attention to detail together with manufacturers we respect. 

For Fabelab, sustainable design is about using the right materials, ensuring proper treatment of workers, as well as the lifespan of the product, which is why we produce multi-functional products that grow with the child. 

Wherever possible, our products are made from organic cotton and  fill our products with recycled polyester. 

We are also proud that our Buddies, Dolls and Soft Rattles all are mainly filled with corn fibre filling, which is the most well-rounded, natural option for washing and retaining the shape and life of the product.  

We also try to reduce plastic waste in every way possible, as it is one of the top concerns in our industry. Therefore, we choose biodegradable bags to protect our products during transportation wherever possible.
